Cinnamon Rolls

Here is an old family recipe that many of our friends and family have ask for over the years... after they have tasted these scrumptious ooey gooey sticky buns!  This came from my husbands family, this was one of his mom's recipes, and he makes them usually on special  occasions.

Ingredients:
1 package  (3 rolls) ~ Frozen Bread Dough
16 oz. carton ~ Sweet Heavy Whipping Cream
32 oz.  container ~ Sour Cream (you won't need this whole container)
Brown Sugar

Butter
Cinnamon

Optional ~ Walnuts and Raisins

Take the three frozen bread rolls and put them all in a large bowl, cover the top with plastic wrap or a kitchen towel, let the dough raise, this may take awhile if it is winter time.  We usually take ours out the night before we want to make cinnamon rolls and it will be ready in the morning.

Take and mix some of the sour cream, sweet heavy whipping cream and brown sugar into a glass cake pan, to get the right mix (well... this is kinda done on a taste basis)... what your are looking for is a sweet, yet tangy taste.  When finished with this process you should have about 1/2 inch of this mixture in the bottom of your pans.

This is what you should have after making your mixture of Sweet Heavy Whipping Cream,  Sour Cream and Brown Sugar.

Now take a little flour and sprinkle the counter, spread the flour over the counter, now you are ready to roll out your dough.

Take and spread the softened butter over the rolled out bread dough.

Sprinkle the brown sugar over the dough and spread it out evenly.

Sprinkle the dough with cinnamon, and then you are ready to start the rolling of the dough  process.

After rolling the dough up, starting at the one end and working your way down to the other end and then back again until, you will do this until it is completely rolled up like the picture above.

Then you will stretch the dough slightly long ways.  After doing this you are ready to cut into one inch wheels (for lack of a better word)!

Now you can place them into the sour cream/sweet cream mixture, like the picture shows below.
