Cabinets and Storage for Craftrooms

I was doing some research on what cabinets and storage that I wanted to use in my craft room, I thought I'd share what I've found... just in case someone else might be wondering what kind of cabinets and storage units are out there.  This would even benefit someone that might even be wanting to give their craft room a face lift!

I think that I have decided to do my cabinets and storage units in white for my craft room, but I sure do like the black look also!  It has been a real hard decision to make because oddly enough... I really like the color black, this goes way back to when I was a young girl.  The first color that I can remember saying was my favorite was black, I was probably about 10-12 years old.  My parents probably thought I was something deeply wrong with me... I remember wanting to paint my bedroom black!  We'll of course I didn't get my way, my parents painted my room a pretty creamy ivory silk color.  I do remember liking this color also ....it went with everything!

I found these at Storage Cabinets at Target.
5-in-1 Modular Storage System - White, Black, and Honey
Priced at about $130

Target also had ClosetMaid Cube Organizers and Cubeicals

ClosetMaid 9 cube organizer cabinet in white or black at about $52.00 and the ClosetMaid fabric drawers come in a wide range of colors and are about $7.00 a piece.  These cabinets also come in a 6 cube and 8 cube cabinets, ranging at about $45.00 to $52.00.

I found these cabinets below at Walmart....These are OIA cube storage doors and drawers cabinets that range from about $38.00 to $70.00 a piece.  The cabinets above are from Target they are real simular to the ones from Walmart.  The ClosetMaid cabinets above from Target and are a little cheaper than the OIA cube storage from Walmart.  Targets ClosetMaid brand was about $20.00 to $52.00 a piece.  I'm not sure about the durability of these pieces, because I haven't seen any of them in person yet.  I plan to go see these storage units in person real soon to make some final decisions of what I will do in my craft room.

Then I found these Jetmax Modular Storage System Cabinets at Michaels, these cabinets look like they would be very functional, they have lots of storage options.  I'm not sure if this is what replaced the Making Memories Series they used to carry a few years ago?  Here is some different combinations and these pieces of this storage system.

These are interesting pieces that would make great cabinets for a craft room.  They have lots of charm and personality!  I think that I might use one of these styles in my room, I'm leaning towards the first two cabinet pictures, I think they will blend better with some of the other storage systems I'm looking at for my craft room.

These cabinets here on Amazon seem to be cheaper than they are at Walmart!

These range from about $80.00 to $140.00 at Walmart.  These are called Classy Collection.

These range from about $80.00 to $145.00 at Walmart.  This are called Heritage Collection.

Below I found these neat little organizers at Target... I think these are so neat and would work great for jewelry pliers and other little crafting tools.  I think that I want one or two of these also!  These ranged in price from $43.00 to $53.00.  I can't wait to go to Target to see these in person too!  These are called Richard Homewares Personal Organizers.

I was looking at Ikea Expedit Series, they look pretty durable and inexpensive for what your getting.   The Expedit 5 shelves across and 5 shelves down unit is about 72" X 72" and comes in birch effect, whilte, black-brown.  The cost is about $200.00.  These units come in different variations of shelves/tiers - 1 X 5, 2 X 2, 2 X 4, 4 X 4, 5 X 5 - there is different prices for these combinations of shelving units.

The desk is about $50.00 and comes in the same colors.   This would look great with my koala sewing cabinet, it is this birch effect color!

The 4 x 4 shelves is 58 inches and about $130.00

Expedit insert with 2 drawrer and is about $35.00
Expedit insert with 2 door and is about $20.00

BRANÄS ~ Basket they come in... white, rattan, black  $15.00. These fit in the cube holes of the Expedit System.
Some other systems from Ikea that might work for cabinets and storage is Billy Systems Products and the Hemnes Storage Combinations.

Here is a closet systems converted into craft storage.
